Twitter is down, globally

That’s it. That’s the News.

Update: It looks like Twitter is back up and running normally for most users.

We’re seeing multiple sources and reports that Twitter is down for users across the globe.

If you’ve tried to Tweet any time in the last 2 hours like I did, you may have noticed.

Users weren’t able to follow new accounts, send direct messages (slide into DMs), or comment on posts. But some reported that scheduling posts was still possible and the only way to send a tweet.

Why We Care. You might not be able to Tweet. There’s no word on when it’ll be back up and running, but we’ll keep you updated.

If Twitter is down globally, it could be due to a technical issue on Twitter’s end. It is not uncommon for social media platforms to experience occasional outages or technical difficulties. In this case, the best course of action is to wait for Twitter to resolve the issue, as there is likely not much that users can do to fix the problem themselves.

It is also possible that the issue is only affecting certain regions or users, so it’s worth checking if others are experiencing the same problem. Checking other social media platforms or news websites may help provide more information on the outage. Users can also try restarting their devices or checking their internet connection to ensure that the problem is not on their end.

If the outage persists for an extended period of time, Twitter may provide updates on the status of the issue through its official channels or support pages.
